Traditional Publishing
Smooth Sailing Press fills a very unique niche in the publishing industry in that we are both a "traditional" publishing house and a "vanity" publisher. 
Like any other traditional publisher, authors that are desiring to sell their manuscript may submit a proposal or a completed manuscript by following the guidelines on our submissions page. A standard publishing contract will be presented to authors who's books are selected for publication.
It is understood that when an author sells his or her manuscript to a publishing house like Smooth Sailing Press or any other publishing house that the copyright is transferred from the author to the Publisher. Smooth Sailing Press will then make all decisions as to the publishing and marketing of the book. The author will receive royalty payments for books sold as per their agreed upon contract.
We are aware that there are many publishing opportunities for authors like you. However, as you have found, there are very few that offer the assistance and expertise found at Smooth Sailing Press. With so many options and services to choose from, you can now sell your manuscript to Smooth Sailing Press, or publish your book within your budget and make your dream of being a published author a reality!
